Muriel Snubs AC

In the process of loan signing of Luis Muriel, the striker of Sevilla, Fiorentina defeated AC Milan. Muriel, the international player of Colombia became the record signing when he reportedly joined from Sampdoria in the month of July, 2017 for a whopping price of €22 million, but he failed to justify this huge amount as his performance was not up to the mark.The 27-year-old lad managed to score only 7 goals in his 29 appearances in the last season of La Liga. And his performance frustrated the fans as he lacked the killer instinct in front of the goal. However, he got his new coach in the name of Pablo Machin, and Muriel has played only 6 times under him in this term of LaLiga, with Andre Silva and Wissam Ben Yedder the preferred choices in the attack.

AC Milan was considered to be the favorites for signing Luis as they were looking for bolstering their attacking options, but at the last moment Fiorentina turned the tides and signed Luis Muriel. Muriel basically joins the club initially on the basis of a loan but was retained by them through the right to purchase for a price of € 13 million at the conclusion of the season. After his previous stints at Udinese, Sampdoria, and Leece, Fiorentina will be Muriel’s 4^th Italian Club.

Luis Muriel was always in contention for the place of the attacker in the AC Milan club but losing him would have shattered their plans. And now they will be looking forward to fill the deficit by getting another attacker. However, only time will tell whether they will be successful in their quest for an ideal attacker or not.
